E.W. Shell Fisheries Center — Research
The E.W. Shell Fisheries Center supports professors and students conducting research activities in the areas of fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic sciences. This work can take place in ponds and in the laboratories at the station, but also extends to waters throughout Alabama and the Southeastern U.S. Work includes diverse species such as catfish, tilapia, largemouth bass, crayfish and mussels. The center is also the site for a number of graduate thesis and dissertation research projects.
