Aeromonas Hydrophila Research

A very large on-farm research project is underway on a private farm in Hale County that is testing four variables for control of a devastating new disease, Aeromonas hydrophila. Controlling this disease is important to help Alabama and the people of the state who depend on jobs in production, processing and marketing as well as the consumers. It is noteworthy that two of the potential controls being tested are a probiotic amended feed and a vaccine in a hybrid catfish population.
